The Discovery Centre

As part of my research for Visual Language, I visited the discovery centre just out of the city centre. The discovery centre is basically a catalogue off everything ever, when things are not being exhibited in museums they're stored here. We booked in to see the Taxidermy collection but there was also rocks, crystals, flowers and a ton of other stuff to look at (It was literally floor to ceiling.) I found it really helpful to look at the collection of Taxidermy birds for my visual language research as it helped me gain a better understanding of texture and proportion. (There was also some incredible animals and a wall full of giant turtle shells but I don't think they fall into 'UK Urban Wildlife' unfortunately)
